The purpose of the workshop was to enhance cross-border science and engineering research and education applications enabled by the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amlight.net\/\">AmLight West<\/a>\u00a010G connection operated by\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cenic.org\/\">CENIC<\/a>\u00a0in collaboration with Mexico\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cudi.edu.mx\/\">Corporaci\u00f3n Universitaria para el Desarrollo de Internet<\/a>\u00a0(University Corporation for Internet Development, CUDI). Investigators from the US and Mexico showcased and discussed applications and science drivers that benefit from the use of the 10G connection.
