{"id":1371,"date":"2015-05-07T20:19:54","date_gmt":"2015-05-07T20:19:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/amlight.net\/?p=1371"},"modified":"2023-07-21T13:17:37","modified_gmt":"2023-07-21T17:17:37","slug":"13th-annual-onvector-photonics-workshop-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.amlight.net\/?p=1371","title":{"rendered":"14th Annual ON*VECTOR Photonics Workshop"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>OpenWave Presentation at the 14th Annual ON*VECTOR Photonics Workshop on February 24-27, 2015<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Julio Ibarra presented an overview \u00a0\u201cOpenWave: U.S.-Brazil 100G Experimental Alien Wave\u201d at 14<sup>th<\/sup> Annual ON*VECTOR Photonic Workshop hosted by the Calit2&#8217;s\u00a0Qualcomm Institute at UC San Diego (UCSD\/Qi), La Jolla, CA.<\/p>\n<p>This workshop is the 14th annual Optical Networked Virtual Environments for Collaborative Trans-Oceanic Research (ON*VECTOR)\u00a0event, co-located with the 5th annual DMASM Workshop\u00a0and the 100G &amp; Beyond\u00a0Workshop.<\/p>\n<p>Research scientists, engineers and entrepreneurs from seven countries gathered for the three-day \u201cmeeting of the minds\u201d devoted to exploring the hottest and most relevant topics in computing and networking.<\/p>\n<p>ON*VECTOR stands for Optical Networked Virtual Environments Collaborative Trans-Oceanic Research. The annual ON*VECTOR workshop has contributed to the increased international use and ongoing development of photonic (or optical) networks.
