AmLight: The Next Frontier Towards Discovery in the Americas and Africa<\/span><\/h3><\/span>

\"\"AmLight: The Next Frontier Towards Discovery in the Americas and Africa project continues its mission to maintain a purpose-built international network infrastructure to support the Vera Rubin Observatory and U.S. astronomy projects, major facilities, scientific workflows, network testbeds, and the R&E communities in the U.S., Latin America, and Africa by maintaining critical long-haul connectivity, colocation, and software services that directly support U.S.-led global science initiatives. The AmLight Next Frontier project will enhance network operation and automation to guarantee new levels of observability, programmability, integration with science workflows and testbeds, and data transfer performance. AmLight is funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) Office of Advanced Cyberinfrastructure (OAC), #2537489, #2029283 and previous awards. AmLIght is based at Florida International University, and it continues to evolve from the support of organizations and projects that share common goals: USC-ISI, Vanderbilt University, Rednesp: the State R&E network of Sao Paulo, RedCLARA: the Regional Network of Latin America, RNP: the NREN of Brazil, REUNA: the NREN of Chile, SANReN: the NREN of South Africa, the Vera Rubin Observatory, AURA: Association of Universities for Research in Astronomy, Florida LambdaRail, and Internet2.
