The students will get exposure to novel networking and software development concepts and techniques, state-of-art technology, and experience supporting projects that benefit more than 2,000 institutions in South America.

Desired Qualifications

  • Current Undergraduate students in computer science, engineering, or networking-related curriculum.
  • FIU students majoring in CS/IT or students with a minor in CS/IT.
  • Requires prior completion of FIU Service Excellence training or completion within the first 30 days.
  • Web programming, or Web design: HTML, Javascript, and CSS.
  • Software development: Python, C, C++ preferred.
  • Operating Systems: Linux shell scripting.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Team player.

 

Who May Apply

Students enrolled at FIU, who have been awarded Federal Work Study (FWS) as part of their Financial Aid Award package.

Student must be enrolled with a minimum of six (6) credit hours in a course of study leading to a degree or a Financial Aid eligible certificate, during Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.

Upon graduating, FWS employment must end.

Work Schedule

Hours will vary based on class schedule and needs of the department.
