The Center for Internet Augmented Research and Assessment (CIARA) at Florida International University’s Modesto Maidique Campus is recruiting undergraduate or graduate computer science and/or engineering students to participate in projects to support research between the U.S. and South America. The students will be getting exposure to novel networking and development concepts and techniques, state-of-art technology, and supporting projects that benefit more than 2,000 institutions in South America.

Scope:

CIARA has opportunities for students interested in getting experience in the fields of software development, DevOps, Machine Learning, and scalability, as well as in the networking/IT fields.

Qualifications:

Current Undergraduate students in a computer science, engineering or networking related curriculum. One to two years College or equivalent work experience in the areas of computer or network operations including:

  • Networking (for students interested in the networking field)
  • JavaScript and/or Python (for students interested in the software development field)
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Team player

Hours 

M-F, 9 am – 5 pm (Up to 20 hours/week) schedules tailored to the student’s curriculum and class requirements.
